The main distinguishing feature of blue-footed boobies (which is quite expected) is the bright blue swimming membranes. In the mating season, females prefer the male with the maximally blue paws and neglect the male, whose membranes look pale or gray-blue.
With a high degree of probability these amazing birds can be found on the Galapagos Islands.
